Looking Into The Career Life Of Anthony Constantinou

Anthony Constantinou is an Assistant Professor and Head of Bayesian Artificial Intelligence at the Queen Mary University of London. Bayesian Networks are a probabilistic model that represents a set of variables, and their provisional dependencies, through a directed acrylic graph. They are applied in modeling a variety of systems including ecology, medical and weather systems. Anthony Constantinou works together with academic and industrial organizations globally to apply his research in sports, finance, medicine, economics, and gaming.

Presently, Anthony Constantinou works as a lecturer in Machine Learning and Data Mining. Before his position as an assistant professor, Anthony Constantinou worked on an NHIR project at the Barts and London School of Medicine and Dentistry on Bayesian Networks for risk management, and risk assessment in forensic psychiatry from September 2012 to July 2014. Between July 2014 and January 2017, Anthony Constantinou worked on an ERC project for improving evidence-based decision making through the Bayesian Network technology at the School of EECS.

His publication “Bayesian Artificial Intelligence for Decision Making under Uncertainty” won him an honor for the Principal Investigator on EPSRC Fellowship project. Constantinou finished second in the international special issue competition Machine learning for soccer. His PhD. thesis was nominated for the CPHC/BCS Distinguished Dissertations, He was awarded Distinction for M.Sc. and earned a full EPSRC Ph.D. Scholarship and funding

He has studied in two universities. In 2009, Anthony Constantinou graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with an MSc in Artificial Intelligence with Robotics, and then in 2012, he graduated with a Ph.D. in Bayesian Networks from Queen Mary University of London. Between 2009 and 2013, Anthony Constantinou worked as a teaching assistant at Queen Mary, where he taught several modules such as Software Risk Assessment, Software Engineering, and Procedural Programming.
